From inside the circle, Batman held opposing batters to .114 average

GLEN ALLEN, June 28 — Harper Batman of the Shenandoah 12U all stars earned the Most Valuable Player award at the 2026 Virginia Babe Ruth 12U State Softball Tournament held June 25-28 at RF&P Park in Glen Allen.

Her dominance in the circle was indisputable, striking out 18 in just 11 innings, allowing just four hits and no earned runs, and holding opposing batters to an incredible .114 batting average. She also made a huge impact at the plate with a strong offensive performance throughout the tournament.
“Harper’s leadership, determination, and clutch performances helped lead Shenandoah all the way to the State Championship game,” reads a statement on the League’s social media site. “We couldn’t be more proud of the way she represented our community.”
The Shenandoah 12U all stars fought through a 10-team field to win the Virginia 12U State Championship. They posted a perfect 4-0 record and outscored their opponents 77-14.
