Betty Jane Griffith, 77, of Stanley, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026, at Winchester Medical Center.
She was born on December 3, 1948, in Virginia and was a daughter of the late Erman Hilliard and Doris Good.
Betty was a member of the Stanley Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was passionate about gardening and taking care of her beautiful home and family. After retiring from Wrangler, she became a proud school bus driver for 12 years.
On February 2, 1974, she married Edward Luther Griffith, who survives.
In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by her stepfather, Douglas Good; three daughters, Cheryl Lynn Minnick, Tracey Lynn and Lisa Wallace; a son, R.J. Judd; a brother, Doug Hilliard; a sister, Karen Burton; four grandchildren, Michael Scott Stroupe, Ryan Minnick, Linton Townes and Margaret Townes; and two great-grandchildren, Michael Scott Stroupe Jr. and Adalyn E. Minnick. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Butch Hilliard and Wayne Hilliard; and a sister, Debbie Duggin.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stanley Baptist Church.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
