Bobby Joe “B.J.” Meadows, 44, of Stanley, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2020, at Winchester Medical Center.
He was born on May 25, 1976, in Harrisonburg and was a son of Wade Eugene Meadows of Stanley and the late Roberta Vaughn Jenkins Meadows.
B.J. worked for Masonite Corporation in Stanley as a forklift operator.
Surviving in addition to his father are a son, Orion Meadows of Stanley; a brother, Dexter Meadows of Harrisonburg; two sisters, Kimberly Bowman of Broadway, and Jennifer Cave of Grottoes; his grandfather, Bobby Jenkins of Luray; and one granddaughter, Nova Meadows of Stanley.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Brett Meadows; his grandmother, Barbara Jenkins; his grandparents, Joseph and Myrtle Meadows; and an uncle, Delmas Meadows.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family for a savings account for his granddaughter.
Arrangements are in the caring hands of the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
BJ was a beautiful and caring person. He will be so sadly missed. He was a great friend it breaks my heart to hear of this. I know he is with god and hes in a better place. It still hurts. I hope his family is o.k. and I will pray for everyone.
