Bonnie Marie Griffith Mayes, 82, of Stanley, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
She was born on October 15, 1943, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Richard H. Griffith and Allene W. Bailey Griffith.
Bonnie was a member of the Bethlehem Independent Christian Church in Stanley.
On July 13, 1963, she married Rodger Mayes, who survives.
In addition to her husband, Bonnie is survived by a son, Dale Mayes and wife Susie of Linden; a daughter, Becky Yancey and husband Billy of Luray; a sister, Joyce Lentz and husband Jimmy of Stanley; three grandchildren, Ryan Mayes and wife Margaret of Harrisonburg, Dylan Mayes of Savannah, GA, and Hannah Mullins and husband Ryan of Chattanooga, TN; and five great-grandchildren, Amia, Sophia, Patrick, Benjamin and Wes.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, September 14, at the Bradley Funeral Home.
A private graveside service will be conducted at the Bailey Family Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethlehem Independent Christian Church Kitchen Fund.
