Bonnie Petefish Lancaster, 83, of Luray, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
She was born on May 3, 1943, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Kirby Elwood Petefish and Doris E. Wood Petefish.
Bonnie was a graduate of Luray High School and Strayer University. She owned and operated Lancaster Enterprises in Luray, which opened in 1975. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi, the Luray Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, Page Paws, Performing Arts Luray (PAL) and St. Mark Lutheran Church in Luray.
On January 26, 1962, she married Leroy Curtiss Lancaster, who died on September 26, 2023.
Bonnie is survived by a son, Mark Layne Lancaster and companion Sandy Dickinson of Luray; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Estep Lancaster of Woodstock; a brother, Jerry Elwood Petefish of Stanley; a brother-in-law, Terry Leake and wife Nancy of Fort Defiance; two grandsons, Matthew Curtiss Lancaster and wife Lisa, and Logan Slade Lancaster and companion Lindsay Abbott, all of Luray; two great-grandchildren, Lincoln Curtiss Lancaster and Wesley Knox Lancaster; and long-time employee, Stuart B. Atkins II and wife Wendy of Luray. She was preceded in death by a son, Kim Lee Lancaster; and a daughter-in-law, Patricia Ann Lancaster;
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 9, at the Bradley Funeral Home by PastorJeffrey D. Marble, with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Luray Volunteer Fire Department.
