November 9, 1989 — The Shenandoah Valley Mineral and Spring Water Company, owned by the McLean Development, Ltd., has an option to purchase the Floyd Eppard Farm, according to William Menefee of the Page Valley Economic Development Council.
Menefee said that in September, the development company put down a payment on the 234-acre property and if the well testing goes favorably, will close on the property in December.
Menefee said he does not know how many people the bottled water plant would employ.
He did say that if the development group purchases the land that it will have to be rezoned from agricultural to industrial.
