Age 64, Luray, Va.
Brenda Sue Rogers, 64, of Luray, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. Brenda was born March 5, 1957, in Page County, Va. and was the daughter of the late Oscar Thomas and Gernie Frances Meadows Sours.
Brenda was a lifelong resident of Page County. She previously worked with the family business, Oscar T. Sours Excavation, where she operated a dump truck, among other equipment.
Mrs. Rogers is survived by her husband, Chris Rogers; a son, Zachary Wyatt; brothers; John Sours and wife, Nellie, Dwayne Sours and wife, Connie, Ernest Jackson Sours and wife, Robin, all of Luray; sisters; Shirley Lewis of Savannah, Ga., Gail Wyatt and husband, Billy of Luray, and Carolyn Swiger of White Buff, Tenn. and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Nathan Wyatt and Jesse Wyatt; brothers, Oscar Sours Jr., and James Sours, and sister; Linda Lou Campbell.
The family will commemorate her life in a private service.
Arrangements are being handled by the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg, Va.
