Age 79, Luray, Va.
Charles LeRoy “Chuck” Fake Jr., 79, of Luray, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Whispering Pines Assisted Living in Luray.
He was born on January 20, 1947, in Washington, D.C., and was a son of the late Charles LeRoy Fake Sr. and Catherine Elizabeth Sedwick Fake.
Chuck attended Old Dominion University and was drafted by the United States Marine Corps.
Chuck is survived by two sons, Martin Rumsey “Marty” Fake and Shannon S. “Smokey” Fake; a sister, Rusty Connery; a brother, Tommy Fake; and four grandchildren, Maddie Martin, Rumsey Fake, Pagie Fake, and Tyler Fake.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary de la Fontaine; and her son, Andrew Wickham.
Chuck is also survived by Mary’s daughter, Angie Kelly; her son, Brandon Wickham; and five grandchildren, Layne Kelly, Cooper Wickham, Felix Wickham, Desmond Wickham, and Archer Wickham.
Services are planned for a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
