Age 78, New Market, Va.
Gregory Paul Bair, 78, of New Market, passed away on May 27, 2026, at Lynn Care Center in Front Royal.
He was born on September 2, 1947, in Pennsylvania and was a son of the late Paul and Lillian Roland Bair.
Mr. Bair served 27 years in the United States Navy. He also worked at Massanutten Resort as a tour guide to Washington, D.C., and wine tours to local wineries.
He enjoyed painting Civil War figurines and accessories, as well as participating in many Civil War re-enactments.
Greg loved baseball and was a Yankees fan and enjoyed attending New Market Rebels games.
Surviving are his wife, Linda Turner Bair; three children, Jeb and wife Mia, Nathan and wife Alisha, and Susie and wife Kelly; and five grandchildren.
The Rev. Stephen Creech will conduct a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, at Manor Memorial United Methodist in New Market.
Memorial contributions may be made in Greg’s name to the New Market Battlefield Virginia Museum of the Civil War, New Market Battlefield State Historical Park, 8895 George Collins Parkway, P.O. Box 1864, New Market, VA 22844.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
