Age 69, Shenandoah, Va.
Cheryl Dianne Forrester, 69, of Shenandoah, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Sentara RMH Medical Center. She was born on January 20, 1954, in Pittsburgh, Pa., and was the daughter of the late Henry Francis and Dorothy Louise Cunningham Anderson.
Cheryl relocated to the Valley from Western Pennsylvania. She had a lengthy career with Walmart in the local distribution center from where she retired.
Surviving are a daughter, Denise Bowman of McGaheysville; two sons, John Kyle and wife, Destiny of McGaheysville and Michael Savage and companion, Manda Lam of Shenandoah; stepdaughter, Christina Montgomery; five siblings, Adele Winwood, Alan Anderson, Kevin Anderson, Charlie Anderson and Keith Anderson; nine grandchildren, Kirstin Bowman, Tyler Bowman, Jewelia Kyle, Ashley Kyle, John Kyle, Keeyarra Dodson, Triston Dodson, Tavion Dodson, and McKenna Savage; two great-grandchildren, Izaiah Presbury and Alijah Williams and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Maynard Forrester Sr. and stepson, Dave Forrester, Jr.
A celebration of life service is being planned for a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton, Va.
