‘Cold-rama’

February 26, 1987 — Troops from the Shenrapawa District Boy Scouts of America “bundled up” last weekend and headed for Lake Arrowhead. The event was a “Cold-rama” — one of three camporees held each year by the district, which is composed of Scouts from Page, Shenandoah, Rappahannock and Warren counties.

Troop 100 of Luray, led by Mark Johnson, Scoutmaster, hosted the event with the assistance of Luray Troop 7 and Shenandoah Troop 8. The Cold-rama patch was designed by Edwin Smith, Troop 7 Scoutmaster.

Troops in attendance include: Troop 100 and Troop 7 of Luray; Troop 8 of Shenandoah; Troop 4 and Troop 52 of Front Royal; Troop 88 of Woodstock; Troop 117 of Mount Jackson; and Troop 123 of Washington. Cub Scout packs attending included Luray Pack 122 and Rileyville Pack 113.
