LURAY, April 7 — The Page County Emergency Communications Center (ECC) reported “a major 911 outage” just after 2 p.m. on Thursday.

Danielle Rhinehart, director of the ECC, is directing county residents to call a different number if they have an emergency and need assistance.

“We are [currently] unable to receive 911 calls,” Rhinehart stated on Thursday afternoon. “Century Link/Lumen is aware of the situation and are diligently working to get our lines back in service, however it may take several hours or days.”

“If you have an emergency, please call ECC at 540-843-0911,” Rhinehart continued. “We will notify the public when our lines are back in service.”
