Donald Eugene Crum, 83, of Luray, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020.

He was born on Aug. 26, 1937, in Rouzerville, Pa., and was a son of the late Richard W. Crum and Elsie E. Higgs Crum.

Donald graduated from Waynesboro, Pa. High School, Class of 1956. He was employed at Frick Company in Waynesboro, Pa., for 22 years, worked at the Luray IGA and retired from EMCO in Luray in 2003. He was a life member of the Waynesboro, Pa. Volunteer Fire Company and the Loyal Order of the Moose in Waynesboro, Pa.

Donald was a member of the St. Mark Lutheran Church in Luray, where he served on the church council and as an usher.

On June 14, 1975, he married Ila Brown Crum, who survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Cynthia Kelley and husband Wayne of Waynesboro, Pa., and Cathryn Keplinger of Hagerstown, Md.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Merle R. Crum of Zephyrhills, Fla.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, at the St. Mark Lutheran Church. In keeping with COVID-19 restrictions, face masks and social distancing are required.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mark Lutheran Church, 201 East Main St., Luray, Va. 22835.
