Age 64, Elkton, Va.
Donna Rae Breeden Shifflett, 64, of Elkton, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024 at her home. Donna was born September 7, 1959 in Harrisonburg and was the daughter of Cecelia Ann Taylor Breeden of Elkton, and the late George Wesley Breeden.
She was a 1977 graduate of Elkton High School and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Shenandoah. She loved watching her grandkids and enjoyed vacations to Myrtle Beach and Florida. She was a homemaker and had worked at AMP for a number of years, Genie and Miller-Coors. Donna was a devoted wife, an amazing mother, daughter, grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
On August 25, 1979, she married Dennis F. Shifflett who survives. Also surviving is a son, Darek F. Shifflett and wife, Ashley; daughters, Chandra Shifflett and husband, Chris Davis, DeAdra Shifflett; sisters, Kim Dean and husband, Jeff, Cindy Shifflett and husband, Robert, Vicki Breeden; five grandchildren, Dylan Lam, Cayden Davis, Calli Davis, Camden Shifflett, Ava Shifflett; and a number of great-nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Elkton. The casket will remain closed.
Pastor Carter Dean will conduct the funeral service 11 a.m., Friday, January 12, 2024 at the Shenandoah Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow at the East Lawn Memorial Gardens near Harrisonburg.
