April 19, 1962 — Larry Dovel of Luray who signed a baseball contract with the Cincinnati Organization three years ago, left Luray last week to pitch for the Macon (Ga.) team.

Larry worked out during spring training with Cincinnati and returned home for a few days prior to leaving for Mason.

Larry reports to the local sports department that while training with Cincinnati, he had the opportunity to meet and talk with quite a number of stars such as Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Al Kaline, Rocky Colavito, Norm Cash and, of course, sluggers with the Redlegs like Wally Post and Frank Robinson.
