Age 85, Shenandoah, Va.
Eleanor McCoy Karnes, 85, of Shenandoah, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at her home. Mrs. Karnes was born October 9, 1940, in Luray, Virginia and was the daughter of the late George and Mary Cooper McCoy.
On July 1, 1966, she married Henry Franklin “H.F.” Karnes Jr. who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sons, Randal Good and wife, Robyn, and Henry F. Karnes III and wife, Leanne; a brother, John Cooper McCoy; grandchildren, Jessica Good, Lukas Good, and Logan Karnes, and five great-grandchildren.
Eleanor’s family will celebrate her life privately.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Page County Animal Shelter.
Arrangements are being handled by the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton, Va.
