Firemen win again

July 1, 1958 — The Luray Fire Department and Drum and Bugle Corps carried off top honors in the firemen’s parade at Harrisonburg Friday evening of last week. The firemen were awarded first prize as the best appearing fire company with band or drum and bugle corps, while the local drum and bugle corps won first prize as the best appearing unit in that category. Last night the Luray group went to Woodstock to participate in another firemen’s parade. At the time of going to press the outcome was not known.
