Girls’ Region B title game at LHS postponed until Friday

LURAY, Feb. 11 — The Region 2B championship for girls basketball between Luray and Staunton has been postponed 24 hours due to inclement weather.

The title game is now set for 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12 at Luray High School.

Top-seeded Luray (10-0) will host seventh-seeded Staunton (5-8) after defeating Stuarts Draft, 67-29, in the quarterfinal round and Stonewall Jackson, 55-28, in the semifinal. Staunton advances to the regional championship after defeating the No. 2 seed Madison, 60-58, and No. 3 Page County, 51-43.

The Region 2B champion will advance to a four-team state playoff that is scheduled to begin Tuesday, Feb. 16.

PVN Sports will be broadcasting during the regional title game on the NFHS Network.
