RICHMOND, Aug. 10 — On Monday, Governor Abigail Spanberger announced the appointment of Kevin Tate of Page County to the state’s Soil and Water Conservation Board. Tate is currently the Director of Conservation for the regional non-profit Alliance for the Shenandoah Valley.
Esther M. Nizer of Elkton was one of four appointees to the state’s Board of Conservation and Recreation. Nizer is a retired IT Trainer and Development Manager at James Madison University.
Former Luray resident, Dr. Jeffrey Feit, now of Winchester, was one of four appointees to the state Board of Medicine. Dr. Feit currently serves as the Chief Population Health Officer and Chief Medical Information Officer for Valley Health.
Monday’s announcement from the Governor’s Office included a total of 77 appointments among 27 advisory boards throughout various industries and interests across the commonwealth.
“I am proud to announce this outstanding group of Virginians who have stepped up to use their expertise in business, healthcare, economic development, and conservation to serve the Commonwealth,” said Governor Spanberger. “I have full confidence that these appointees will work to lower costs, invest in our healthcare systems, and protect our natural resources.”
