Judith Ann Lucas, 77, of Stanley, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026.
She was born on November 20, 1948, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late Russell Levi Lucas and Edda Virginia Lucas.
Judith was a member of the Blue Ridge Pentecostal Church in Stanley.
Judith is survived by two daughters, Karen Deavers and husband John of Rileyville, and Linda Mercer and husband Brent of Elkton; six brothers, Kenneth Lucas, Bruce Lucas, Levi Lucas, Dale Lucas, Nelson Lucas and Leroy Lucas, all of Stanley; three sisters, Margaret Moore, Stella Miller and Josephine O’Neil, all of Stanley; four grandchildren, Lindsey and husband Donnie Batman, Brooklyn and fiancé Jacob, Julia and fiancé Clayton, and Johnathan and girlfriend Anmol; and one great-grandchild, Kenway.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Junior Lucas, Larry Lucas, Michael Lucas Sr., Earl Lucas and Gary Lucas; two sisters, Ethel Lucas and Patricia Lucas; and her companion, Kenneth Dovel.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, at the Blue Ridge Pentecostal Church.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 14, at the church by Pastor Donnie Burns and Pastor Charlie Turner. Burial will be in the Leake’s Chapel Cemetery in Stanley.
