Grand jury has light session in April with 14 counts

LURAY, April 2 — Members of a grand jury in Page County Circuit Court issued a true bill on a total of 14 indictments handed down Wednesday, April 2 on charges placed among eight individuals.

Those indicted by the April 2 grand jury include:

Michael Jermaine Riley Jr., of Luray, Va., was indicted on a Class 6 felony for strangulation or wounding in which an injury results, and four Class 1 misdemeanors for damaging a phone line to prevent a 911 call, assault and battery, assault and battery of a family member, and giving false identification to law enforcement. The first four offenses listed all occurred on Jan. 9, 2025, according to court records, with an arrest date of Feb. 2, 2025. The false ID charge, which has an address in McCool, MS listed, occurred on Dec. 30, 2024, along with an arrest on the same date, according to court records. Riley is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 for a hearing.

Enrique Ramirez, of Manassas, Va., was indicted on Class 6 felony for eluding or disregarding police, and two Class 1 misdemeanors for reckless driving (speed in excess of 85 mph) and general reckless driving. All three offenses occurred on Nov. 17, 2024, according to court records, with an arrest on Nov. 20, 2024. Ramirez is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 to appoint counsel.

Tonya Lynn Bible, of New Market, Va. was indicted on an unclassified felony for the distribution or sale for profit of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on July 1, 2024, according to court records, with an arrest on Oct. 3, 2024. Bible is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 for a hearing.

Brandon Scott Williams, of Stanley, Va. was indicted on an unclassified felony for possession with intent to manufacture a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on Dec. 26, 2024, according to court records. Williams is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 for a hearing.

Edward Nelson Dofflemyer Sr., of Elkton, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for the possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on March 14, 2025, according to court records. Dofflemyer is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 for a hearing.

Jamie Fernandes Eppard, of Shenandoah, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on Dec. 13, 2024, according to court records. Eppard is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 for a hearing.

• Staci Marie Hampton, of Wardensville, W.Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for the possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense and an arrest occurred on Nov. 12, 2024, according to court records. Hampton is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 for a hearing.

• Erica Lynn Walker, of Front Royal, Va., was indicted on a Class 5 felony for possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The offense occurred on Dec. 4, 2024, according to court records, with an arrest on Dec. 5, 2024. Walker is scheduled to appear in court again at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 for a hearing.

Grand jury hearings are held the first Wednesday of each month in Page County Circuit Court.
