April 10, 1986 — A grand jury is set to decide on handgun theft charges against a Shenandoah man in Rockingham General District Court. The man is charged with stealing almost $2,300 in handguns in a March 18 theft.

The man reportedly was arrested after an alarm was tripped at the Elkton Valley Heritage store and he was caught running away from the building.

Elkton Police Officer K.W. Weaver testified Monday that he arrived at the store around midnight and noticed that a rear ground floor window was shattered.

The officer lated discovered the man hiding on the floor behind a glass cabinet. The man ran from the building and was caught.
