Shirley Jean Milgrid, 86, of Luray, died on Thursday, April 6, 2023.
She was born on March 20, 1937, in Dante, Va., and was a daughter of the late Woodrow Compton and Hazel Compton.
Shirley was a member of the Beahm’s Chapel Church in Luray.
In August 1955, she married George Milgrim Jr., who survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, George Milgrim III of Kauai, Hawaii, Michael Milgrim of Edinburg, and Jamie Milgrim of Charles Town, W.Va.; a daughter, Janette Milgrim of Quicksburg; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Buddy Milgrim and Steve Milgrim.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 13, at the Beahm’s Chapel Church by Pastor Mike Propes.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 14, at Temple Hill Cemetery in Castlewood, Va.
Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
