Age 74, Luray, Va.
Harold Harding Spencer Jr., 74, of Luray, died on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2021, at Winchester Medical Center.
He was born on March 31, 1947, and was a son of Margaret Smith Spencer of Illinois and the late Harold Harding Spencer Sr.
Mr. Spencer worked as a teacher at Mount Carmel Christian Academy and had served as pastor of Sunset Drive Baptist Church. He was a Navy veteran.
On Dec. 20, 1969, he married Alice Sims Spencer, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his mother and his wife are two sons, Stephen Spencer of Massachusetts, and David Spencer of Culpeper; five brothers, Bob, Gailen, David, Ronnie and John Spencer, all of Illinois; a sister, Chris Spencer of Illinois; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Heather Spencer.
Services are planned for a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
