Hilarious ‘wedding’

Luray panoramic

April 12, 1962 — The Luray Ruritans presented their jolly, happy-go-lucky “Womanless Wedding” and “Male Beauty Contest” at Page County High School last Friday evening.

As in past performances the audience was kept in animated suspense. The cast of 25 or more Luray Ruritans had the feeling that this was by far the smoothest and best performance of the show yet made.

Gilbert Campbell was crowned “Miss Ruritan Cutie”, while Junior Miller “walked away” with the title of “Prettiest Legs.” Melvin Bayliss won the dubious honor or having the “most unusual costume.”
