James E. “Jamie” Blosser Jr., 61, of Stanley, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, with his loving family and devoted canines, Bella and Biff, by his side.
He was born on March 22, 1965, in Harrisonburg, VA, and was the son of Jim and Belle Blosser.
Jamie was affectionately known as “Bruno or Filo.” He dedicated over 40 years of his life working with his father in the family-owned asphalt business N&B Paving. He had recently worked at Auto Zone in Luray. Jamie had never missed a day of work during his career. He was a man of strong work ethic earning the respect of his colleagues.
Jamie had a passion for speed, Nascar races, supporting his mom’s pro pulling tractor, then later on his son Adam’s pulling truck, “The Hillbilly Shaker.” He loved cheering on his cousin Joe’s dirt track car. He was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Jamie and his wife, Cynthia, had a special love for animals, adopting countless pets throughout the years.
Jamie is survived by his devoted wife, Cynthia Dyer Blosser, whom he married on April 17, 1999; his son, Adam Blosser; two stepdaughters that he loved as his own, Candace McCoy Price and Danielle McCoy Miklos and husband Cody; four grandchildren, Jadeyn Blosser, Everleigh Blosser, Lydia Price and Jude Price; aunts Sherry Dean (Rudy) and Jill Young (Kevin); and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rufus and Jean Young, and Edward and Louise Blosser.
Jamie will be remembered for his strong work ethic and love and devotion to family.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, at the Leake’s Chapel Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, at the church by Pastor Josh Parlett. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
It’s not goodbye, but “See ya later Ole Girl.”
Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
