Age 60, Luray, Va.

James Franklin Strickler, 60, of Luray, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020, at Winchester Medical Center.

He was born on Nov. 17, 1959, in Luray and was a son of  Franklin Walter Strickler and Frances Ann Sours Strickler of Luray.

James worked for more than 35 years at various grocery stores, including A&P as a meat cutter.

On Sept. 17, 2013, he married Kimberly Griffith Strickler, who survives.

Surviving in addition to his parents and his wife are a daughter, Jami Sedwick and husband David of Luray; a son, Jason Strickler and wife Jennifer of Luray; a stepdaughter, Karissa Hensh; two brothers, David Wayne and wife Alice, and Phillip and wife Lynn Strickler of Luray; and four grandchildren, Alyssa Sedwick, Benjamin Sedwick, Levi Strickler and Austin Strickler, all of Luray.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23, at the Bradley Funeral Home by the Rev. Deanna Boynton.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 22, at the funeral home.

Friends may sign the register book on Monday from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
