Horse Trainer and Veterinary Assistant Jennifer Roy’s love of life didn’t come to an end with her death. Jennifer passed away on October 12, 2021 at the age of 45 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Jennifer. She loved long afternoon trail rides with her friends, and evenings laughing, singing, and playing games with her husband and children. Jennifer often spent time with her dogs on local hiking trails and found beauty in her small farm at the foot of the Blue Ridge mountains. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities.

Jennifer was a long-time member of Mt. Carmel Regular Baptist Church serving as a youth leader for 25 years. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met.

Jennifer is survived by her husband, Jay Roy of Luray; son, Daniel and fiancée Brieanna; son, Philip; daughter, Alayna; mother, Sue Riner-Biggs; father, Scott Price; step-father, Thomas Ladd; sisters, Angie Price-Robinette and Kristine Personius; brothers, Joshua and Jason Price; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, October 17 at Mt. Carmel Regular Baptist Church in Luray, Va. Pastor Brian Hasse will officiate.  A private graveside ceremony will be at Temple Hill Cemetery in Castlewood, Virginia. 

Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
