Joanne Grace Brown, 94, of Luray, died on Monday, Oct. 18, 2021.
She was born on June 11, 1927, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Joseph Franklin Frye and Grace Belle Head Frye.
Ms. Brown worked as a custodian for Page County Public Schools for 22 years.
She is survived by four sons, Ernest Franklin Brown Jr. of Stafford, R. “Bobby” Brown of Luray, William Brown of Harrisonburg, and Gregory Brown of Charlottesville; a daughter, Sheila Hudson of Luray; a brother, Durwood L. Frye of Luray; and a sister, Charlotte B. Martin of Luray.
She was preceded in death by six brothers, J.R., Page F., Rex, Roscoe W., William D. and Charles Junior Frye; and a sister, Claudine Majors.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 22, at the Frye Family Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
