The Town of Luray is seeking an energetic individual to serve as our next Superintendent of the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
You will supervise full-time staff, ensure proper operation and maintenance of the treatment plant, as well as maintenance of all sanitary sewer lift stations.
Typical work includes monitoring of operations, sampling, and testing for compliance, biosolids management, and submission of monthly and annual permit compliance documentation.
This is a full-time, exempt position that needs flexibility in the work schedule to accommodate weekend and evening issues.
Prior experience in operation of a Class II plant with oxidation ditch treatment coordination is desired. Possession of a valid VA Class II Wastewater Treatment Operator License is required, and a Class B or A Commercial Driver’s License is required within twelve (12) months of hiring.
