Starting Salary $75,000, or higher, depending on qualifications
• Virginia Retirement System and Anthem Health Insurance (benefits valued at ~$20,000 – $30,000 annually)

The Town of Luray is seeking an energetic individual to serve as our next Assistant Town Manager. This individual will serve as general operations manager, and overall supervisory administrative position for the various Town departments.

Primary tasks include major project planning, design, and management, construction inspections, implementing the Town’s street maintenance program and budget, technical
review of plans and specifications, zoning inspections and planning department support, and coordination with local/state/federal agencies.

Essential skills include knowledge of heavy construction, understanding engineered plans and specifications, local government administration, municipal finance, project planning and estimating, interpreting government ordinances and codes, along with effective communication and interpersonal capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree, supplemented by
at least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in public administration and/or technical project management.
