Johnny Hylus Donald Cave, 88, of Luray, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Skyview Springs Nursing and Rehab.
He was born on November 28, 1936, in Luray and was a son of the late Lowell Donald Cave and Bertha May Hurt Cave.
Johnny was a veteran of the United States Army and had worked at Avisco as an electrical engineer. He was a member of the Lafayette Lodge 137 A.F.&A.M.
On November 12, 1966, he married Grovene Joyce Gray Cave, who died on November 30, 2017.
Johnny is survived by a son, Elmer Alger Jr. and wife Lisa of Grottoes; two sisters, Frances Marsh and Diana Lucas, both of Luray; a brother, Charles Cave of Fayetteville, GA; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Aileen Rice and Doris Tedesco.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 20, at the Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray by Pastor Mike Nichols.
