LURAY — Despite battling recent health issues, Luray High School’s Davey Johnson posted two solid showings at cross country meets in the past week.
The LHS junior finished second among male competitors at the Generals XC Invitational on Wednesday, Oct. 11 hosted by Mountain View High School.
Then on Saturday, Oct. 14, Johnson finished 49th among 350 competitors in the Elite Boys division at the 2023 MileStat.com XC Invitational held in Mechanicsville and hosted by Atlee High School. The highly competitive field that ran at Pole Green Park’s Upoper Course featured top runners from all six classes of competition in the Virginia High School League.
