Ken Chrisman

Age 64, Virginia Beach, Va.

Kenneth Clay Chrisman, 64, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.

Ken is predeceased by his parents, Loring Lee Chrisman and Betty Lou Seekford Chrisman. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of nearly 19 years, Martha “Marcie” Chrisman and three kitty cat fur babies.

Ken was born in Luray, Virginia in 1957. He received his undergraduate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a law degree from George Mason University. For many years, Ken had a successful legal practice in Richmond, Va.

Ken was also very active in politics regularly volunteering at the polls to ensure that all voters’ rights were protected. He was also quite proud to have volunteered for the successful campaign of U.S. Senator James Webb in 2006.

An avid animal lover, Ken often rescued strays including one kitten who became a treasured part of his fur baby family.

Ken and Marcie loved the shore life often making sand and surf a focal point of their travels. When their retirement neared, they searched for the perfect place and in 2016 decided on Virginia Beach. Both Ken and Marcie enjoyed their new beach life, and Ken could often be found walking or reading on the beach, or riding his bike on the streets around Shore Drive.

Memorial services will be determined at a later date.
