Kevin Anthony Connor, 38, of Luray, Va., tragically passed away at his farm on October 17, 2021, from the accidental explosion of a propane tank. He was born on September 25, 1983, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Kevin Daniel and Susan Papa Connor.

From a young age, Kevin knew he wanted to be a farmer and was able to live the life of his dreams. He was skilled at many things and truly loved to work. He took great pride in his farm, continuously expanding and improving it over the last 17 years. Every day, he got to do what he truly enjoyed. He deeply cared for people in need and would gladly give someone the shirt off his back.

On June 17, 2017, Kevin married Ashley Nicole Painter, daughter of Jimmy and Melissa Painter, of Luray, Va. He doted on his wife and her family, whom he loved dearly, and their three dogs – Bailey, Maggie, and Bentley.

He is survived by his spouse, Ashley Connor; his parents, Kevin and Susan Connor of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; his sister, Marcy Deck, of Charles Town, W.Va., and her husband, Andy; his niece, Reesa Deck, and nephew, Maverick Deck; his grandmother Jean Wellman of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; his Godmother Linda Papa of Coconut Creek, Fla., and other aunts; his Godfather Sam Papa of Albany, N.Y., and other uncles; and many cousins.

He is predeceased by his beloved dogs, Charlie and Lucy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Connor home in Luray, Va., on Friday, October 22, 2021. Friends and family are welcome to stop by any time after 5 p.m. Earlier that day, the family will spread some of Kevin’s ashes on the farm at the place where he and Ashley were married.

A memorial service will be held in Boca Raton, Fla., at a later date.

Donations may be made in Kevin’s memory to the Stanley Volunteer Fire Department in Stanley, Va.

Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
