Age 61, Harrisonburg, Va.
Laurie Lee Minor, 61, of Harrisonburg, Va., formerly of Uniontown, Pa. and Luray, Va., passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Choice Healthcare at Harrisonburg.
Mrs. Minor was born March 20, 1961, in Uniontown, Pa., and was the daughter of the late Paul Regis and Audrey Jean Spear Bonner. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, James Alan Minor, Sr.; her second husband, Chester Dale Bolyard, Jr. and a sister-in-law, Laura Bonner.
Laurie worked in health care as a certified nursing assistant and more recently at Skyland Resort in the Shenandoah National Park. Anyone who had the chance to know Laurie, saw her for her reliability, the care she was always willing to show and her strength. She was a loving and dedicated daughter, mother, nana, sister and aunt, always putting others first.
She is survived by a son, James “Jim” Minor, Jr. and wife, Shannon of Gloucester, Va.; a daughter, Jamie Minor of Harrisonburg; two brothers, Richard Bonner and wife, Christina of Pennsylvania and Edward Bonner of Fredericksburg, Va.; two sisters, Eva Ciptak of Bridgewater, Va. and Carol Welshhanns and husband, Larry of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Bryce Emerick, Justus Minor, Stormy Minor, Josiah Minor and Zachariah Chaudhuri as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at a date yet to be determined. Interment will be private at Evergreen Memorial Park in Point Marion, Pa.
Arrangements are being handled by the Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg, Va.
