LHS volleyball does it again, make it five straight titles

FEBRUARY 8, 1990 — Luray High School clinched its fifth-straight Skyline District volleyball championship and earned a berth in the Region B tournament with a pair of victories last week. The victories also give the Bulldogs top seeding in the Skyline District tournament, slated Saturday at LHS. Luray will play the fourth place team (either Madison County, Wilson Memorial or possibly Riverheads) to open the tourney. Luray defeated second place Buffalo Gap 10-15, 15- 10 and 15-8 Thursday night at LHS to force at least a tie and won the title outright with a 15-11, 15-7 victory over visiting Madison County Monday.
