LHS wins Region 2B Forensics Tournament

LURAY — The Luray High School Forensics team captured first place at the Region 2B Forensics Tournament held at Central of Woodstock on Saturday, Feb. 5.

Luray had six first-place finishers among 10 categories at the regional competition, and captured two of the top three positions in five different categories. The Bulldogs took the top spot with 41 points, followed by the region runner-up Stuarts Draft with 20 points.

The 2A/2B Super Regional will be held at Randolph-Henry High School in Charlotte County on Saturday, Feb. 26. Winners will advance to the state tournament.

Below are the results from the Region 2B Forensics Tournament held in Woodstock on Feb. 5:

  • Region Runner-Up: Stuarts Draft (20 Points)
  • Third Place: Central (12 Points)
  • Fourth Place: Clarke County (3 Points)
