Luray Christmas parade postponed until Tuesday due to potential for high winds

LURAY, Dec. 11 — The Town of Luray announced on its Facebook page earlier today that its annual Christmas Parade previously scheduled for this evening has been postponed due “the potential for high winds,” according to the online post.

Luray’s annual Christmas parade, this year themed “All I want for Christmas is…”, will now take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 14 along Main Street. The parade route will flow from Broad Street to Reservoir Avenue.

Following the parade Tuesday evening, Page Theaters will be showing “A Christmas Story” with FREE admission as part of the Town of Luray’s “Movies on Main” series.

Today, also marks the start of the “Light Up Luray” holiday lights tour, which runs through Christmas Day.
