Luray Earth Day 5K/1K to be held virtually all this weekend

The virtual Luray Earth Day 5K/1K run and walk on the Luray Hawksbill Greenway will be held throughout this weekend. From 9 a.m. Friday, April 23 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 25, participants may complete their 5K or 1K run or walk on their own.

The event is sponsored by the Page Alliance for Community Action and Page County Public Schools.

The cost is $20 for all ages for the 5K — and $5 for ages 8 and younger for the 1K.

A Page County elementary, middle and high school student may participate free for every registered runner. The free registration is funded by a grant from the Virginia Foundation for Healthy Youth and a Saucony Run for Good grant.

Registration must be completed by Thursday, April 22 and forms and additional information may be obtained online at www.pagecoalition.org
