Maurice Wayne Shenk, 83, of Stanley, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Page Memorial Hospital in Luray.
He was born on January 31, 1943, in Virginia and was a son of the late Lee and Nannie Belle Morris Shenk.
Maurice was a member of the Antioch Independent Bible Church in Luray.
On February 1, 1964, he married Christine Painter Shenk, who survives.
In addition to his wife, Maurice is survived by a daughter, Teresa Pettit (Warren) of Luray; three sons, John Wayne Shenk (Gena) and Anthony Scott Shenk (Anita), both of Luray, and Keith Douglas Shenk (Crystal) of Stanley; a sister, Shirley Bolyard of Stanley; seven grandchildren, Cassie Mauck, Robyn Shenk, Sierra Shenk, Ben Shenk, Cody Shenk, Jennifer Good and Emily Sine; six step-grandchildren, Samantha Good, Shannon Cave, Dwayne Good, Christian Good, Lee Ann Cubbage and Stevie Cook; and eight great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Lilly, Mackayla, Sylas, Arabella, Maverick, Xavier and Liam.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lee Shenk; and a sister, Peggy Turner.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, at the Calvary Independent Brethren Church in Stanley.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
