Phyllis Dare Greene Griffith, 82, of Rileyville, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
She was born on May 3, 1944, in Coeburn, Va., and was a daughter of the late Cleophus Bud Greene and Delma Lovetta Hill Greene.
Phyllis had worked as a custodian for Springfield Elementary School, retiring with 28 years of service.
On January 21, 1960, she married Roger Lee Griffith Sr., who survives.
In addition to her husband, Phyllis is survived by two sons, Roger Lee Griffith Jr. of Rileyville, and Gregory Allen Griffith (Penny Griffith) of Luray; a daughter, Deborah Dare Mullins (Shane Mullins) of Clintwood, VA; a sister, Cathy Neece (Willie Neece) of Coeburn, VA; seven grandchildren; Kimberly Fields (Daniel Fields), Brittney Hilliards (Brittany Mullins), Jacob Mullins, Ashleigh Combs (Chris Combs), Derrick Mullins, Tony Griffith, Xander Griffith; and two great-grandchildren, Callan Mullins and Kolby Combs; along with many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Buddy Greene, Jimmy Greene, Tommy Greene; and her daughter-in-law, Penny Griffith.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8, at the Greene Family Cemetery in Coeburn, VA.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
