Luray High School junior Jaidyn McClung recorded 79 kills, 37 digs, three aces and two assists over three volleyball matches last week against Waynesboro, Madison and Harrisonburg. The Bulldogs won all three matches and are now 11-4 on the season.

Honorable mention for this week’s spotlight goes to senior Trinity Belton, who recorded 127 assists, one kill, four aces, and 38 digs. 

Luray’s volleyball team is currently in fourth place in the Bull Run District, with a 7-4 record in district play. The Bulldogs have four matches remaining in the regular season over the next two weeks. Tonight (Tuesday), they travel to East Rockingham (12-3) before hosting Clarke County (9-7) on Thursday. Luray ends the regular season by hosting Page County on Oct. 21.
