June 29, 1961 — Army Pvt. James P. Henderson, 21, son of Mrs. Martha E. Henderson, Luray, completed the general supply course at Fort Leonard Wood, Md., June 16. He entered the Army last February and completed basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C. Henderson is a 1960 graduate of Luray High School and was employed by the Potomac Edison Company in Front Royal before entering the Army.

Army Pvt. John E. Young, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rufus G. Young, Stanley, participated with other personnel from the 101st Airborne Division’s 502nd Infantry in Exercise Missouri Eagle II, an airborne assault exercise at Fort Leonard Wood, June 24-27. Young, a firemen in the infantry’s Company D, entered the Army in October 1960 and received basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C. Before entering the Army, the 20-year-old soldier was employed by Norfolk and Western Railroad, Shenandoah. He is a 1950 graduate of Shenandoah High School.
