Miss Luray


March 9, 1961 — Before a large audience in the Luray High School auditorium on Thursday night of last week, Miss Mary Sue Henderson, platinum blonde daughter of Mrs. Martha Henderson, was selected “Miss Luray 1961” from a field of 19 contestants.

The contest was sponsored by the Exemplar Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.

Miss Henderson was attired in a lavender floor- length gown, trimmed with a deep purple sash.

She was crowned by Miss Joanna Smith “Miss Luray 1960.”
