March 7, 1889 — Mr. C.D. Price has a telephone line from his home to his store, which is one mile and a half.
Mr. Adam Seekford commences distilling on the first of March.
We are in hopes that there will not be any change of post masters at Alma as we could not better ourselves.
Mr. Stage Modesitt will close his school in three weeks. We hope that he will teach the same school the next term as he cannot be excelled as a teacher.
Mrs. Frank Jenkins has been very ill for the last two or three weeks, but we are glad to say that she is now convalescing.
Mr. “Poke” Price has just returned from Loudoun with a fine lot of horses and mules.
