No more drivers’ license

November 1, 1990Those who want a Virginia drivers license will have to drive — more than likely be driven — to Front Royal or Harrisonburg.

As of today, the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles has discontinued drivers license service at licensing agencies across the state, including the Luray office at 10 Fairlane Drive.

Licensing agent Clifton Campbell said Tuesday that the decision was made as part of Gov. Douglas L. Wilder’s budget-cutting moves.
