Norma Lee Ponn Phillips, 89, of Luray, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026.
She was born on November 2, 1936, in Luray and was a daughter of the late John Edward Ponn and Carrie Susan Nichols Ponn.
Norma was a member of Forward For Christ Baptist Church in Luray.
On March 2, 1956, she married Billy Joseph Phillips, who died on November 7, 2009.
Norma is survived by a daughter, Sue Ann Moyer and husband David of Luray; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, John William Phillips; three brothers, Thomas Drexel Ponn, William Edward Ponn and John Lester Ponn; and four sisters, Louise Bauserman, Jean Coombs, Fannie Hawkins and Virginia Kibler.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 17, at Forward For Christ Baptist Church by Pastor Josh Parlett and the Rev. William E. Ponn Jr., with visitation one hour prior to the service, from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
