Robbie Lee Kyger Sr., 71, of Shenandoah, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, April 15, 2026. He was born July 13, 1954 in Harrisonburg and was the son of the late Robert and Ruby Lorraine Morris Kyger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Debra Nimmerichter.

Robbie loved anything sports, especially baseball and baseball cards. He coached baseball and football at Page County High School. Robbie was an EMT for many years in Shenandoah as well as an electrician at Merck. He loved his church family at Shenandoah Assembly of God where he was a youth leader, treasurer/board member, Sunday School Superintendent and musician. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Robbie is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Jean “Pence” Kyger; sons, Christopher Robert Kyger and wife, Susan, Brandon “Scott” Kyger and wife, Alana, Robbie Lee Kyger, Jr. and wife, Amy, raised in the home, Michael Tyler Kyger; daughter, Amanda Faith Pendleton and husband, P.J.; brother, Gary Lee Kyger and wife, Sarah; grandchildren, Katherine, Olivia, Nigel, Mamie, Nicole, Ashleigh, Noah, Attikis, Aspen, Meghan, Justin and Peyton; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Caleb, Gianna and one on the way; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

A Funeral Service will be conducted 11 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 2026 at the Shenandoah Assembly of God with Pastor Carter Dean officiating. Burial to follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 17, 2026 at the Shenandoah Assembly of God, 311 Comertown Rd., Shenandoah, Va 22849

Arrangements are being handled by the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton, Va.
