December 27, 1962 — One of the most unique and interesting books involving the history of Page County and many of its most prominent families was released to the public this week by Lauck and Co. Inc., Luray publishers.

“Old Homes of Page County” written by Jennie Ann Kerkhoff, a native of Page, is a valuable addition to any library statistically and as interesting reading material.

The 212 page book in hard- back cover describes 56 ancient Page County homes, most of which are over 150 years old. The range of the homes covers the entire county and reveals much material taken from family documents and records never before published.

One of the unique features of the book is the big two-color map carried in the back which shows the exact location of each of the places mentioned.

  1. Good question. It was published nearly 60 years ago. I would start at the Page Public Library. Perhaps check with someone in the Page County Heritage Association.
